As well as being qualified as a Regulatory Solicitor and holding a NEBOSH qualification in health and safety, Gill is professionally dual-qualified in food law as a Food Premises Inspector from her previous employment in Local Authority law enforcement. She is also an Accredited Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
Gill works closely with the Senior Partner Madeleine Abas on a range of complex health and safety prosecutions brought by the Health and Safety Executive, including fatalities and major accidents in the workplace, defending prominent, national and international clients who operate in the construction, healthcare and industrial sectors.
Gill’s portfolio also includes representing clients in the Magistrates’ Court and at PACE interviews. She provides legal advice to a range of major corporate clients who face investigation or prosecution by Regulators, including Local Authorities during food hygiene prosecutions, the Environment Agency, Gangmasters Licensing Authority, Trading Standards and Crown Prosecution Service. She has also previously advised and represented corporate clients on motoring offences.
Gill is a legal opinion column writer for a major national retail magazine, and delivers training to the OAH team on successful authoring.
