Mark is an experienced lawyer who has worked on a wide variety of complex and interesting cases involving the defence of corporate and individual clients facing investigation and prosecution by various regulators including the Health and Safety Executive (“HSE”). In particular, this has involved cases involving fatalities and serious injuries arising from carbon monoxide poisoning, the collapse of temporary works and falls from height on construction sites.
As well as defending prosecutions Mark is also committed to advising clients in respect to their regulatory compliance and training. This has included the production of emergency response plans and delivering a bespoke ‘Mock Trial’ training session for the construction industry.
Mark is responsible for producing the firm’s monthly newsletter to the North West Construction Safety Group and is the holder of the CSCS Construction Site Operative qualification.
Before embarking on a career in the law Mark spent some time working in the house building industry.
