What do we do?

Organisations cannot predict where and when incidents will occur which lead to a Regulator’s intervention, investigation and enforcement action. Osborn Abas Hunt prides itself on the team’s accessibility, speed of response and decisiveness in the provision of advice in such situations.

We have extensive experience of providing advice in the immediate aftermath of offshore and onshore fatalities, train derailments and environmental incidents. We are also experienced in the provision of representation for those taken into custody during regulators investigations, urgent applications to seek the discharge of restraint orders freezing the assets of companies and their directors, and appeals against the revocation of licences. Whatever the nature of regulatory intervention, the team at OAH is able to assist and guide the client through the process.

Our clients operate in diverse industries, and are regulated by many different organisations including the Health and Safety Executive, the Environment Agency, Local Authorities, the Office of Rail Regulation, the Department for Business Enterprise and Regulatory Reform, the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, the police, the Security Industry Authority and the Gangmasters Licensing Authority.

For those who are venturing into new areas of business or reviewing their current operations, we can inform our clients about the nature and operation of any relevant regulatory regimes and advise upon the steps necessary to ensure compliance with legal duties. We also provide a range of trainng sessions to directors and managers illustrating the impact of legal requirements upon their activities.
