We strive to ensure that each member of the team at Osborn Abas Hunt brings unique qualities to the table, to provide the widest possible spectrum of services to our clients. We have lawyers and support staff from settings ranging from civil litigation to education coming together with the common goal of providing the highest quality advice and training to our clients, whilst having the extensive legal expertise to provide robust and thorough representation when our clients face prosecution or enforcement.
The team at Osborn Abas Hunt is led by Madeleine Abas.
Madeleine is one of the UK’s leading health and safety lawyers. She was a founding member of the National Health and Safety Lawyers Association and held the position of Chair for 7 years. Madeleine is a Legal 500 Hall of Famer and a 10-year entrant in Who’s Who, in recognition of her profile and achievements in health and safety law.
Madeleine is widely recognised as a double threat; a leading health and safety lawyer using her experience to provide thorough and practical training. Her client base includes some of the world’s largest companies, significant public bodies and other enterprises commissioning or undertaking infrastructure projects.
After 8 years in a civil litigation setting, acting for both individuals and companies on both sides of personal injury and loss related claims, which highlighted the ramifications of not getting things right from a health and safety perspective, Ryan made the move into Regulatory and Health and Safety criminal enforcement.
Under Madeleine’s guidance, Ryan has a developed a wealth of experience in Health and Safety law, in areas such as construction, chemical production, hospitality, healthcare, and manufacturing. Ryan has the trust of a range of companies, from the very large to the small, in proactively advising on compliance, providing a robust defence when criminal prosecutions arise, and providing advocacy for inquests in the Coroner’s Court.
